The 2024 International Hairdressing Awards, the most prominent awards in the global hairdressing sector, will be held at the Lisbon Congress Center on April 29th at 7:00pm.
The 2024 International Hairdressing Awards catwalk show and award ceremony will be broadcasted LIVE! at www.ihawards.com starting from 7:00pm Lisbon Time on Monday, April 29th.
Among the winners of this year’s competition, North American hairdresser Ken Paves stands out with the International Hair Influencer of the Year award, for his philanthropic work that goes beyond the profession. Ken Paves is known for his appearances on television shows such as Oprah Winfrey’s and also for being the stylist of David and Victoria Beckham and Eva Longoria. On the other hand, Australian hairdresser Sharon Blain will receive the International Hair Legend award for her career of more than fifty years in her profession, as a stylist and trainer.
In the competition categories, the British brand Toni&Guy has won four awards for its stylists: International Artistic Team of the Year, Best International Men’s Commercial Collection for Sam Elliot, Best International Avant-garde Collection for Efi Davies, and the star prize of the contest, International Hairdresser of the Year, which goes to Cos Sakkas for the third consecutive year. In addition, the Spanish brand Carlos Valiente has won the award Best International Women’s Commercial Collection. This year, for the second year, the International Film & TV Hairdresser of the Year award was presented, in which the winners of the hairdressing categories of the major international film and television competitions were finalists and which finally went to the hairstylists in the movie ‘Barbie’, Ivana Primorac, Marie Larkin and Claire Corsick.
The awards ceremony, in eight categories, will take place alongside a great hairdressing show with six of the most prominent artistic teams of the world: Emmanuel Esteban (France), Errol Douglas MBE (UK), Fabio Ziccardi (Italy), Jorge X & Janos Deri (Spain/Germany), Mark Leeson Art Team (UK) and Toni&Guy Artistic Team (UK). Previously, guests will be received on the ‘purple carpet’, the red carpet of global hairdressing, which will bring together the biggest names in the profession from around the world.
The award winners, who were announced during the International Hairdressing Awards world tour in March, are invited to attend the hairdressing industry’s big night in Lisbon to collect their awards. The winners of the different categories were revealed personally and by surprise by Mikel Luzea, director and founder, and Sergi Bancells, global ambassador of the awards. The two traveled around the world along with a production team to personally announce the awards to the winners.
