Salvo Filetti, hair designer for Compagnia della Bellezza, returns to revamp the look of the most famous doll in the world, for a really special occasion – Barbie Bride!
We already know that Barbie loves Salvo Filetti. The hair designer of Compagnia della Bellezza is not new to the mini-coiffure creations for Barbie. In 2011, in fact, he collaborated with L’Oréal Professionnel, and had studied 23 looks that were then displayed in a photo exhibition. Today Salvo Filetti is back with a new capsule collection, Barbie Bride. “Barbie has never married and as far as I know, and never will,” says Salvo. “Marriage is a game for Barbie that girls don’t let happen but … In ‘my game’ Barbie is a bold bride with a chameleon and original style, a real fashion icon who is also an icon on the day of her wedding!”. And so here are the two trends that the hair designer suggests for Barbie loves Salvo Filetti.
Aristochic
“Resumes reasons noble, refined –explains Salvo Filetti– inspirations cross between Claudia Cardinale (‘The Leopard’) and Audrey Hepburn (in ‘Breakfast at Tiffany’s’).” The volumes are collected in the center of the head and then refined in chignon at the nape. Hair decoration with bright accessories make precious jewel the reasons for this style.
Renaissance
This style provides for “plots in profusion in all the infinite possibilities for creating naive atmospheres.” Soft tresses that caress the shoulders, decorated with strings of beads, organized flowers or simple suggestions for interpreting the Renaissance.
