KH Hair Annual Awards: Celebrating Outstanding Achievements, Teamwork, and Loyalty Across the Group.
KH Hair recently celebrated its top-performing teams and individuals at its annual awards ceremony in Nottingham. Over 200 staff and VIP guests from Wella and ghd gathered for the eagerly awaited KH Hair Annual Awards event. This prestigious night honored long-serving individuals and recognized 24 award recipients for their outstanding achievements throughout the past year.
Salon of the Year Shines Bright
Always the most sought-after accolade of the night, ‘Salon of the Year,’ was awarded to the Group’s Sadler Gate salon in Derby. The team garnered this top honour for their excellent performances in customer service, turnover, and retail sales. Significantly, the Sadler Gate team also collected the award for ‘Salon Turnover Improvement’ and two ‘Salon Retail Improvement’ awards.
“In my 42 years with the wonderful KH Hair Group, I think this is my proudest moment,” says Louise Radford, director of the Sadler Gate salon. “I’m so grateful to my team of amazingly talented hairstylists and our army of loyal clients. Joining our two Derby salons together a year ago has been a great success; we are definitely better together!”
Group-Wide Achievements
Nottinghamshire salons also shone brightly throughout the evening. KH Hair Castle Gate topped the leaderboard with an impressive four team awards, including ‘Salon Highest Turnover,’ ‘Salon Highest Retail,’ and a ‘Marketing’ award. Individuals recognised for their achievements included Steve McIntee for ‘Individual Turnover’ and ‘Individual Retail,’ and Amber Newton, who received the ‘Master Colour Expert’ award.
The KH Hair Arnold team also emerged as big winners, picking up the ‘Salon Clients’ award and a second ‘Marketing’ award. For the fourth consecutive year, they took to the stage to collect the hotly-contested ‘Image of the Year’ accolade, which was jointly awarded to KH Hair’s Long Eaton salon. Apprentice Kyla Mickle-Surgey also came out top in the 1st Year training competition.
A Night of Entertainment and Unity
After all the winners were revealed, guests were entertained by the live band, Electric Kicks, featuring Ultimate Bandeoke, which invited brave attendees to unleash their inner pop stars. Food, drink, and plenty of dancing topped off a truly great evening of recognition and celebration.
“Our annual award ceremony is always an event our teams get really excited about,” says Group MD, Darren Messias. “It’s the only time in the year that we get together as a whole company to celebrate the achievements of our salons and team members.”
Darren specifically expressed his delight for the Sadler Gate team. “We are particularly delighted for Louise and all her team at our Sadler Gate salon on winning the big award of the night, ‘Salon of the Year’,” Darren added. “We couldn’t be happier with how the transition has worked out for their Derby salons since bringing them together. I want to say a massive thank you to all our salon teams for their hard work, creativity, support, and loyalty to the KH Hair family, and congratulate all our winners.”
The evening clearly highlighted the talent, dedication, and unity within the KH Hair Group. It provided a well-deserved opportunity for the entire company to connect, celebrate, and look forward to another year of success.
