Authentic Beauty Concept announces its partnership with recycling gurus Green Salon Collective. Together they aim to raise the standards of sustainability across the hairdressing and salon business sector.
Green Salon Collective is a visionary organisation committed to transforming the beauty industry’s environmental impact. Their innovative recycling programs enable salons to divert waste from landfills, ensuring a sustainable future. By collecting and repurposing discarded hair and all salon waste, Green Salon Collective offers eco- friendly solutions that positively impact the community and the planet. “We are incredibly excited to partner with Green Salon Collective,” says Emily Ross, Senior Trade Marketing Manager UK & Ireland at Authentic Beauty Concept. “As a brand, we believe that we can all make a difference, even with small actions. Together, Authentic Beauty Concept and Green Salon Collective will:
- Curate a series of events through 2024 to share sustainable initiatives. Also to inspire salon practices and change in the industry’s approach to suitability.
- Provide Authentic Beauty Concept’s salons with access to discounted service to recycle and also the traditionally impossible to recycle items: hair, foil, colour tubes & towels. As well as recycle or recover plastic, paper, PPE, chemicals and general waste.
- Share the GSC education to salons on waste, energy, water, and food, as well as staff policies and social responsibilities.
This partnership supports Authentic Beauty Concept’s journey to further strengthen its sustainability offering. The brand has already set clear goals to help the industry achieve greater eco-consciousness.
