The UK & Ireland TVA (TrendVision Award) 2024 by Wella Professionals has launched. Renowned as one of the greatest hairdressing competitions in the world, this iconic contest is an opportunity for talent to truly shine and showcases the greatest hairdressing creativity in the UK & Ireland.

They can show the hairdressing world their talents, whilst going on an incredible journey of self-development. It can be a life-changing opportunity. The UK & Ireland Final is an event like no other, and we are incredibly proud to announce that this will be taking place for the first time at Old Billingsgate this year.”
TrendVision Award celebrates the industry’s most talented artists who demonstrate an array of hairdressing skills, ranging from creative colouring techniques to the most dynamic cutting and styling skills, whilst showcasing the Wella colour portfolio at its finest.
Entering TrendVision Award is simple. The competition is open to anyone living or working in the UK or Ireland who is working in a salon or as an independent stylist. You don’t need to be a Wella Professionals account. The exception being the XPOSURE Creative Colour category, which is exclusive to hairdressing students.
To enter, competitors complete an online entry form with a before and after image. Then upload both images or a transformational reel to Instagram, making sure to include the relevant hashtags. Images must have been taken in the last 12 months, not previously entered into any industry competitions. There are no gender-specific limitations for models.
The categories this year are:
Colour Visionary
Showcase innovative colouring skills using a sunrise to sunset colour pallet. From warm tones of peach to golden hues, ensuring the use of the gradient technique.
Craft Visionary
Use colour techniques and placement to achieve a striking hair colour which enhances the precision of the haircut and maintains the quality and condition of the style. Competitors should ensure there is a significant difference in the before and after transformation.
XPOSURE Creative Colour (for students only)
Showcase creative colouring that’s perfectly placed to create a strong cut and colour combination. Quality and condition is key, as is suitability to the model or headblock.
Entries open on 22nd April 2024. All successful photographic entries will go straight through to the UK & Ireland Final, which takes place on 7th October at Old Billingsgate, London. All categories will compete live at the final, making it a truly memorable event.
