A weekend to be remembered! Intercoiffure America/Canada Spring Atelier 2015 was a spectacular event held this past weekend in Boca Raton (Florida) attended by prominent members of Intercoiffure from all across North America!
The event was the first led by Frank Gambuzza as President of Intercoiffure America/Canada (ICA), who presented on stage the new Fashion Director of the association, the prestigious stylist Van Council, owner of the Van Michael Concept Salons in Atlanta. Gambuzza explained to all attendees that he had compiled a ‘wish list’ of favorite people for the position and had the enormous satisfaction to discover his top pick, Van Council, had accepted his proposal.
Alongside Gambuzza and Van Council, another important highlight of this Intercoiffure America/Canada Spring Atelier 2015 was the legendary Don Shaw, a former Fashion Director of the organization for 23 years, between 1981 and 2004, who got a thunderous standing ovation from all attendees.
Intercoiffure America/Canada Spring Atelier 2015 presented fascinating presentations, seminars and conferences. Industry icon Sam Brocato led the amazing artistic team made of Faatemah Ampey and Danielle Keasling in the magnificent presentation ‘Millennial Brides‘. The atelier Cut.Color.Connect, presented by Jo Blackwell and Andreas Zafiriadis, included a real dream team of stylists led by Belinda Gambuzza –ICA Haircolor Education–, Sonya Dove –ICA Haircolor Director– and Amy Michleb –ICA Cutting Council Director–. The Haircolor Council was formed by Alex Bjorn, Alejandro Jimenez, Alison Stapleton, Nicolas Vrettakos and Andrea Laug; while the Cutting Team was formed Woody Michleb, Michael Angelo Razzo, Ana Ray, Kristen Grzegorczyk and Rosie Matos. There was a also brilliant presentation by ‘Boca Bling‘ the Nouveau Team led by Perry Monge, with Kari Bowman, Erin Gribbin, Trish Bradley, Laurie Carter, Tasha Auguste, Aliana Burger, Brooke Willis, Ashley Lindsay, Dee Zaigone, Julie Sharp Mercedes Villasana, Angi Bush, Haley Ferreira, Mariluz Rivera and Billie Abis.
With regards to conferences, the legendary Ann Mincey, prenented the “Light the Way Through Inspired Brilliance”, who motivated and marveled all the professionals who made up the audience. In addition, the conference “Trim Your Liabilities; Employee Social Media & Phone Use”, by Christine R. Sensenig (Esquire), and “Succeed & Understand the Industry’s Evolving Workforce” with Anthony Muti, Oliver Steinnagel, Steve Sleeper and Steve Reiss, provided valuable information and very interesting business tips to all attendees.
Intercoiffure America/Canada Spring Atelier 2015 closed last Monday with the ‘Best Practices Panel‘ composed by Anthony Muti, Scott Missad, Stacie Bowie, John McCormick Jr, Robert Kim, Tim Belcher and Glenn Milliet, which followed the magnificent “Hands-On Color” and “Hands-On Cutting” performed by Belinda Gambuzza, Sonya Dove, Amy and Woody Michleb.
