PeloFest Barcelona: A Successful First Edition

On March 2nd and 3rd, Barcelona (Spain) became the host city for the first edition of the new professional hairdressing festival, PeloFest.

The debut of PeloFest in Spain, held in the Poblenou district of Barcelona, brought together some of the most influential names in the industry, establishing itself as a new platform for education, innovation, and networking for hairdressers and barbers.

PeloFest was born in Moscow in 2013 under the name BeautyDay and has since inspired thousands of professionals across Eastern Europe. Now, with its first event in Barcelona, the festival has proven to be a valuable space for learning and professional growth, where attendees had the opportunity to discover the latest trends and refine their skills with the guidance of 10 leading experts in the industry. “Our goal is to provide a clear view of the educational market, highlight new opportunities, showcase evolving techniques, and help hairdressers work with more quality, speed, and ease—allowing them to attract more clients, increase demand, and ultimately earn more,” explained Valentin Cherevkov, the festival’s founder and director.

For two days, the PeloFest stage came alive with exclusive masterclasses, showcasing advanced techniques in cutting, coloring, styling, and barbering.Attendees had the opportunity to learn from Vladimir Sarbashev, creator of the revolutionary AirTouch m ethod; Sara Guinaldo, expert in color, highlights, and advanced training; Alexey Osipchuk, master of precision cutting and avant-garde trends; Ihor Drozdov and Richard Ojeda, specialists in men’s styling; Alba Bosch, a leading name in balayage and color techniques; Ismael de Marín, an expert in barbering and men’s cuts; Silvia Collado, a reference in boho-style updos; Mario A. Sánchez, an educator specialized in colorimetry; and Eva Rueda, a stylist renowned for her bridal and updo hairstyles.

More Than a Festival: A Meeting Point for the Industry

PeloFest is not just a training event—it is also a hub for networking and trend discovery. Throughout the two-day event, attendees had the opportunity to interact with experts, exchange experiences, and connect with other professionals in a dynamic and enriching environment.

Additionally, the event featured PeloMarket, a dedicated area for professional cosmetics brands and tools for hairdressers and barbers, where the latest industry innovations were showcased. The success of this first edition in Barcelona has made one thing clear: PeloFest is here to stay. With a dynamic, educational, and excellence-driven format, the festival has firmly established itself as a must-attend event for hairdressing and barbering professionals.

If this edition has proven anything, it’s that education and innovation are key to the industry’s growth. And after such a positive reception, PeloFest Barcelona already has a date for its next edition: September 28-29, 2025.
