The 9th Hairist Hairdressing Day took place at 5-Star Fairmont Quasar Hotel in Istanbul with a social responsibility project that supports the foundation for children in need of protection.
The event, that was held for the first time in 2011, gathers Turkey’s most outstanding hairdressers and most reputable brands of hairdressing with a motto – ‘to create the most inspiring atmosphere for the best hair’. Besides, this event hosts both Turkish Hairdresser of the Year Award Ceremony and Estetica Turkey Honor Award Ceremony.
The 8th Hairist Hairdresser of the Year Contest was held via Instagram and the winners below were selected among a total of 5,465 hair designs.

While the speaker of the event Judith Malika Liberman –with the topic ‘Tell me a story’– was watched with huge interest, a total of 15.000 TL donation was collected for the benefit of Koruncuk Foundation.
The hair fashion show that followed was organized by the Hairdressers Association Artistic Team and choreographed by Zeynep Arkok with the title ‘Inspiring hair’ and themed after Frida Kahlo. Estetica Turkey Honor Award
This is the award that recognizes hairdressers as an example to all of their colleagues thanks to their professional achievements, innovations that they have produced, work for the benefit of the industry, and also their personality and behavior. This year’s winner is: Ali KIRIKTARAK.
Respect for Metin Bahçecik
Metin Bahçecik who works voluntarily for the Hairdressers Association, was announced as honorary president in front of all guests, receiving an outstanding ovation.
