OMC Hairworld Korea 2016: A Magnificent Spectacle!

A truly international audience is enjoying the experience of the World Hairdressing Championships in Korea. OMC Hairworld 2016, held in Seoul during Int’l Beauty Fair Korea gathers more than 1,600 participants representing 50 nations.

Sponsored by Wella Professionals, L’Oréal Professionnel, Takara Belmont, Create the Professional Choice & Amos Professional (Platinum sponsors) and Pivot Point, Vitality’s, Silkey, Raphael Perrier, Yingfei Hair & Jinda Hiar (Gold sponsors), OMC Hairworld celebrated last night its 70th Anniversary with an outstanding Opening Gala Night in Kintex (Seoul). The event was presented by Salvatore Fodera, OMC World President, and Young-Hee Choi, OMC Korea President, and included the OMC Golden Globe Awards ceremony and a fabulous hair show by the OMC Korea Artistic Team, lead by Kim Jin Sook, General Manager.

This is only the third time that the event has been held in Asia and so the organizers and authorities –the event is sponsored by the Ministry of Health & Welfare– are particularly keen to make it a huge success, both for the benefits of Korean hairdressers and for the international esteem that the Cup can bring the country.

OMC Hairworld 2016 is hosted at KINTEX located in Gyeonggi-do, from March 27 to 29.
