Cory Couts, now President & General Manager of Kao USA Inc., Salon US will be at the helm of Goldwell and KMS California worldwide.
At the same time, Anthony Pucciarelli, Global President of Kao Group, Salon, made the announcement that he will step down as Global President as of June 1, but is certain that he will be leaving KAO in able hands.
Says Pucciarelli, “Cory’s outstanding performance in the last year as the leader of our USA business, the largest in the world, has made him the obvious choice of Kao Corporation to lead the brands globally. His understanding of salons and stylists is unmatched and this knowledge has had a direct effect on our results.”
While Couts will be headquartered in Darmstadt, Germany, making it the first time both brands will have been led globally by an American executive, Mr. Pucciarelli will be returning to AUstralia to be closer to his family after more than five years at Kao Salon Global Headquarters.
