The German city of Hamburg is preparing to host a truly historic event: the Centennial Celebration of Intercoiffure Mondial, the world’s most influential professional hairdressing association.
From May 31 to June 3, 2025, the global hairdressing industry will gather in Hamburg for the Intercoiffure World Congress and the 100th anniversary of Intercoiffure Mondial—an extraordinary occasion in the association’s history and undoubtedly the hairdressing world’s major event of the year. Intercoiffure’s legacy is deeply tied to the Hanseatic city: in 1925, hairdressers from Switzerland, Germany, France, Austria, and the UK came together in Hamburg to found the exclusive Intercoiffure association. Now, 100 years later, Intercoiffure returns to the very place where it all began. With over 2,500 salons in 48 countries across five continents, Intercoiffure is the largest private network of elite hairdressers. Its emblem, the five-pointed star, stands for quality, fashion-forward thinking, and globally shared values.
Three days of glamour, fashion & networking
The World Congress 2025 casts its shadow even at first glance at the multifaceted program and promises to be THE event highlight 2025: three days full of fashion, full of trends, full of inspiration with shows, exciting keynote speeches, exchange with colleagues from all over the world and enjoyment at all levels. Global hair fashion power: at the Intercoiffure World Congress 2025, the leading hair stylists from all over the world will meet in Hamburg and present their great creative power on stage in prestigious and gala shows.
The Centennial celebrations of Intercoiffure Mondial will begin on Saturday, May 31, in Hamburg with a warm get-together at 7:00 p.m. in the city’s iconic Fish Auction Hall. On Sunday, June 1, the spotlight will be on the much-anticipated international hair fashion shows, taking place from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the CCH Hamburg. These shows will feature artistic teams from Intercoiffure regions around the world, including Bulgaria, Hong Kong – Macau, the Nordic countries, Singapore, China, Latin America, South Korea, Switzerland, and a special presentation by the L’Oréal Professionnel team. The day will conclude with a Gala Dinner in the evening, followed by a lively after party to celebrate this historic occasion.
On Monday, June 2, the celebration continues with an exclusive matinée at the prestigious Elbphilharmonie, followed by visits to the partner stands. In the afternoon, attendees will witness the solemn Intercoiffure Order of Chevalerie Ceremony. The grand finale of the event will be the spectacular 100 Years Party, held at the CCH Hamburg.
