“The concept for the Trevor Sorbie Tribute Collection came to us as we were looking through the archives of his inimitable work,” explains Giuseppe Stelitano, Creative Director at Trevor Sorbie.
“There were so many incredible looks and so much imagery from Trevor working live on stage that had never appeared in a collection or campaign,” continues Giuseppe Stelitano. “So, unless you were at the event itself you wouldn’t have seen creations that so deserved celebration. Our Trevor Sorbie Tribute Collection was the perfect way for us to celebrate the legacy of Trevor’s incredible work, especially on the 45th year of the brand. So many of the references came from when Trevor was doing his one-man show, so we kept the 80’s aesthetic that much of these archival creations came from – honouring the style and silhouettes.”
