Industry legend and beauty industry icon Robert Cromeans has announced his retirement from John Paul Mitchell Systems (JPMS) following an extraordinary career.
Robert has been an integral part of JPMS for over three decades as a hairdresser, salon owner and platform artist. During this time he shared his innovative artistry and proven business strategies with hairdressers around the globe. Throughout the years, he has inspired countless lives with his passion, creativity and leadership.
Hairdressing history in the making
After joining the company as a Paul Mitchell Associate, Robert became a protégé of the renowned Jeane Braa. He quickly rose to become Artistic Director in 2000, followed by Global Artistic & Business Director in 2016. Robert has been instrumental in the development and launch of many successful artistic collections and business systems. He developed the revolutionary salon business-building concepts of Take Home, The Wash House and The Color Bar. Robert has founded several salons, including the mega-successful A Robert Cromeans Salon in San Diego, California.
Throughout his career, Robert has traveled extensively to educate, motivate and mentor thousands of hair professionals in over 40 countries. With his jaunty fashion sense and eclectic collection of hats, Robert captivated audiences worldwide with his charisma, humor, artistry and business acumen.
