Discover the new collection from the prestigious Hooker & Young team, inspired by the legendary London club, Annabel’s.
For decades Annabel’s in London’s Berkeley Square has been synonymous with the beauty and decadence of high-society’s young and affluent. Using various textures, vivacious colours and true coiffure dressing skills, combined with exquisite styling, Hooker & Young have perfectly captured the couture fashion, excessive accessories and licentious mien favoured by Annabel’s exclusive debutant, royal and celebrity elite guests.
Opened in 1963 at 44 Berkeley Square by Mark Birley, the club was named after his wife, Lady Annabel Vane-Tempest-Stewart. It originated in the basement of the Clermont Club, a private gambling establishment created by John Aspinall. Annabel’s became one of London’s pioneering nightclubs, attracting the British aristocracy and global jet-setters during the 1960s and 1970s. In the 2000s, it was rejuvenated by Birley’s children and sold along with his other clubs to Richard Caring in 2007. The club closed its doors at No. 44 Berkeley Square in 2018 and reopened the same year at No. 46, taking over the entire Georgian townhouse.
