Farouk Systems and Dress for Success Houston partner to Empower Women!

Miss Universe and Miss USA kick-off inspiring day of makeovers, confidence-building and professional education together with Farouk Systems in collaboration with Dress for Success Houston (DFSH). 

The inaugural event empowered DFSH clients to take control of their professional development by helping them look and feel their best during their job interviews. The event kicked off with a motivating discussion focused on confidence-building helmed by CHI Ambassadors and reigning Miss Universe Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters and Miss USA Kára McCullough, followed by CHI Stylists educating women on how they can style their hair for job interviews and in the workplace.

We’re thrilled that our brand ambassadors Miss Universe and Miss USA can also join us to further elevate the conversation to one of self-empowerment and positivity.”

The event, which was held at DFSH’s headquarters, opened with an intimate discussion on confidence led by Nel-Peters, who holds a degree in Business Management from North West University, and McCullough, a former scientist for the United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission, about ways to promote positive self-image by sharing their personal career journeys with the women. Following the discussion, participants were invited to a meet-and-greet with the reigning Miss Universe and Miss USA as part of this one-of-a-kind experience.

In addition, DFSH clients were given the opportunity to partake in individual hair styling sessions at CHI styling bars as an educational “how-to achieve the look.” Each woman departed with CHI tools and personalized styling product to replicate these looks on their own when preparing for future interviews. After the styling sessions, a Farouk Systems photographer will shot professional headshots for all participants to leverage on their LinkedIn profiles, providing another empowering tool as participants further launch their careers.
