Sunlights lights up Ohio & Candy Shaw pins Forty-Six New Intercoiffure Members in NYC

SUNLIGHTS Balayage, the makers & purveyors of the world’s leading balayage products and education, had a banner weekend! In addition to major shows in the mid-west & NYC, six different SUNLIGHTS classes were simultaneously taught around the globe as far away as Oslo, Norway by the talented and energetic SUNLIGHTS Artisan Team.

SUNLIGHTS headlined the Premiere Columbus show (by the producers of Premiere Orlando, North America’s largest show) with three separate presentations. Candy Shaw & team presented to nearly 900 stylists from the Main Stage as well as two separate classroom presentations by Candy and the SUNLIGHTS Artisan Team to 400 stylists each. All three presentations Sold-Out weeks in advance.

To the amusement of the crowd Candy brought a real shampoo bowl provided by Takara Belmont on stage to demonstrate her signature Bowlayage® technique which enables stylists to quickly and efficiently do introductory balayage at the bowl as a value added service raising their ticket prices between $50 to $75 USD.

In addition to presenting to nearly 1,700 balayage believers, several thousand more stylists flocked to the SUNLIGHTS booth to witness live balayage demonstrations all weekend. The SUNLIGHTS booth sold-out of merchandise early in the show, which included selling over 250 BALAY BOXes.

En route to Columbus, Candy Shaw, who is the Intercoiffure America/Canada New Membership Chairwoman, welcomed 46 new members into the organization on the Main Stage in the Grand Ballroom of New York’s historic Waldorf-Astoria Hotel with the help of ICA President Frank Gambuzza for whom she serves. Several of Candy’s dear friends also presented in New York during Intercoiffure Fall Atelier 2016 including Australian Masters Sharon Blain & Tracey Hughes (SUNLIGHTS is currently launching in Australia & New Zealand), as well as muse Sonya Dove, celebrity stylist Ted Gibson and Van Council, ICA’s  Artistic Director. But the highlight of the event, at least for Candy, was the presentation by her father, former competition hairdresser Jamison Shaw who recently retired after 60 years behind the chair.
