Inspired by Andy Warhol’s Polaroids, R+Co sought to produce its very own Polaroid shoot by capturing the essence of models’ characters while focusing on hairstyles created by The Collective.
Howard McLaren, Garren and Thom Priano kept things simple by using the models own clothes where they could, and played up personal style first and foremost. “What really got us about Andy Warhol’s Polaroids were how not precious the pictures are, but the flaws and imperfections they encompass. They are still so amazing and fresh even after 30 years because they rely on character to draw you in,” commented Howard McLaren, Co-founder of R+Co.
