The Mod – Intercoiffure Mondial Collection 2025

With “The Mod,” Intercoiffure Mondial makes a bold international fashion statement: a revival of the radical 1960s spirit, reimagined for today’s world – one that craves clarity, individuality, and authenticity.

Premiering at the 2025 Intercoiffure World Congress in Hamburg, this cutting-edge collection is a creative dialogue in hair fashion. Shot in a sleek urban loft, “The Mod” fuses artisanal precision with cultural multiplicity and a refined sense of contemporary beauty. The collection showcases sharp cuts, gender-neutral silhouettes, high-contrast textures, and striking men’s styles. Every look tells a story; each hairstyle reflects the global zeitgeist. At the heart of the shoot: a shared passion for hairdressing, an eye for trends, and, most importantly, a spirit of limitless friendship.

Led by Artistic Directors Miguel Estelrich (Fashion Director Latin America, Brazil) and Markus Herrmann (Vice President Intercoiffure Mondial, Germany), hairstylists from Brazil, Germany, Austria, Sweden, Norway, Ukraine, South Africa, and Japan came together to craft a united global fashion language. “Our team brought their cultural flair into each look – for me, it’s the creative highlight of the year,” says Markus Herrmann.

“The Mod” – Reimagining the Past, Defining the Future

Drawing on the iconic style codes of the 1960s Mod movement –graphic lines, rebellious elegance– this collection distills that aesthetic through a modern lens. The results are pared-back yet bold, refined yet confident. “For me, ‘The Mod’ is a journey back to the future,” shares Markus Herrmann. “The ’60s are reinterpreted with clean lines that provide direction while exuding effortless cool.” Creative direction came from Miguel Estelrich, who sees “The Mod” as a return to fashion freedom: “In the ’60s, fashion broke free from constraints – today, that spirit lives on in open, liberated looks.”

Modern Men – Style with Substance

“The Mod” embraces masculine styles with intent; inspired by the revival of iconic bands like Oasis, where retro nostalgia meets modern edge. These looks are edgy yet playful, urban yet refined. Never uniform, always expressive. Sebastian Pfister (MasterBarber, Austria) says: “Men’s looks today go far beyond beards and fades – this collection brings fashion with substance.” He sees men’s styling as an essential part of the trend forecast: creative, wearable, and forward-looking.

A Global Fashion Manifesto

“The Mod” is not a retro throwback, it is a progressive movement. This collection tells stories, connects cultures, and redefi nes beauty. At the World Congress in Hamburg, Intercoiffure Mondial reveals what it stands for: style with substance, creative freedom, and global unity.
