The 2024 edition of The Emergent Talent shone brightly at the prestigious MCB by Beauté Sélection in Paris, in collaboration with Estetica Network.
The Emergent Talent 2024, designed to highlight the most promising young hair artists in hairdressing, took place on Monday, October 14, on the 360 stage at MCB by Beauté Sélection 2024, with the much-anticipated awards ceremony on the Arena stage later that day. Four teams, led by internationally renowned mentors, competed for the coveted prizes. The participating mentors were Carla Bergamaschi, Jérôme Fendt, Emmanuel Esteban, and Elena Verikiou, who worked closely with their young protégés to present impressive creations in front of an enthusiastic audience and a distinguished panel of judges.
The day was filled with memorable moments, as participants showcased not only their technical skills but also their ability to innovate and reinterpret current hairdressing trends. Three major awards were presented:
- Audience Award: Silvia Armato from Italy, mentored by Carla Bergamaschi, was recognized by the public for her stunning creation, which captivated everyone in attendance.
- Judges’ Award: Elizaveta Takun from France, guided by Emmanuel Esteban, received the judges’ award for her outstanding technical skill and artistic vision.
- The Best Emergent Talent Award: The most anticipated recognition of the night went to Marianna Avantaggiato from Italy, also mentored by Carla Bergamaschi. This prestigious award not only celebrates her emerging talent but also grants her €3,000 to organize a show at Beauté Sélection Lyon.
The competition was judged by a panel of experts, including Stéphanie Michel, owner of S’Coiffure in Verdun and winner of The Emergent Talent Award in 2021; Patrick Ahmed, founder of Community Hairdressers Spirit, Community Hair Show, and the Medley chain of salons; and Laurence Pariset, General Manager of the Silvya Terrade Group.
The 2024 edition of this awesome competition was a vibrant celebration of creativity and young talent, reaffirming the importance of supporting the next generation of hairdressers.
