Today, we say farewell to a true icon in the beauty industry, Angus Mitchell. Co-owner of John Paul Mitchell Systems and the son of the legendary hairstylist Paul Mitchell, Angus epitomized the essence of leadership, style, and grace.
Having grown up in the world of hair, Angus was exposed to the same passion that fueled his father’s legendary career. Beyond his remarkable journey, Angus was a dedicated philanthropist and a passionate advocate for human rights, ecological preservation, and environmental research.
“This news is incredibly heartbreaking for the entire Estetica family. We have had a longstanding friendship with Angus, Paul Mitchell and the entire JPMS family. The industry has now lost one of the world’s finest and most charismatic hair artists, but, above all, we have lost an incredible person whom we all held dear. Just this past May, I had the privilege of spending time with him in Rome, where we shared memorable moments while conducting an interview for our Summer Issue. Angus will forever remain in our hearts and memories,” said Luca Pissimiglia on behalf of the Estetica Network family worldwide.
Angus Mitchell’s legacy extends far beyond the world of hair. He leaves behind a lasting impact on the beauty industry and a profound legacy of compassion, generosity, and dedication to making the world a better place. In our last interview with him last summer, he shared with us: “My overwhelming feeling is that there is a hunger for more connectivity, as well as more love and joy of the JPMS culture and a stronger connection to the philanthropic commitments of our company. I have a commitment to continuing to inspire artists through artistic possibilities with the great Robert Cromeans and our talented Art Directors. It’s so important to ensure that our people feel supported, inspired and cared for in every way.”
