Luxurious and elegant salon expansion

The MARKDAVID salon based in Scotland (UK), has recently completed its on-trend expansion in order to be able to provide additional treatments and services to its clientele in its luxurious, elite, elegant and exclusive interiors.

The expansion came just one year after the salons open date in November 2019 and was decided upon after a fantastic first year of success by owner of the salon, Mark McCarthy. Mark, alongside local Designer, Fran Holden Design, worked together on the look of the new salon area, which Mark wanted to keep in line with the front space of the salon but with a slightly different vibe and colour scheme. Like the front space of the salon, the key with the new space was that it appeared decorated and styled like a home instead of a salon, with a welcoming feel and aesthetic both aspirational for clients and the team. 

Green is the primary colour way in the front area of the salon, a very luxurious colour that works perfectly with the accents of gold and marble within the space, providing a contemporary, elegant finish.  The use of green is a bold choice but is it’s the colour of life, renewal, finance and energy.  The back area of the salon features blush pink tones and sky blues, whilst still combing gold touches and marble for a seamless flow throughout the salon. The salon has a very art deco inspired feel and includes many statement features. In the main salon, the colour bar section is completed with brass tiling and in the back area of the salon, rose gold tiling is situated at the backwash area, adding a contemporary and on trend touch. 

“I am absolutely thrilled to be able to show clients our new salon area,” comments Mark. “The area turned out even better than I expected and we have received so many compliments from clients and friends and family so far. Despite 2020 being a tough year with the pandemic, we are so grateful we have been able to expand the salon and have a successful first year in business and we can’t wait to re-open and see what the future holds for MARKDAVID“.
