We just couldn’t decide… Which one is your favorite look of the Oscars 2016?

This year, the biggest night in Hollywood not only brought a long-awaited award (congrats Leo), but also provided enough hair inspiration to last us through 2016. Check out some of our favorites below!

It was the night that Leonardo DiCaprio finally took home the coveted statuette for Best Actor for his role in ‘The Revenant’, and the night that all the memes questioning when he would get an Oscar were finally put to rest.

However, it was the film ‘Mad Max’, starring Charlize Theron –who went from shaved head to a side-swept French twist– that won a noteworthy amount of awards, including the Oscar for Best Makeup and Hairstyling, by the work of Lesley Vanderwalt, Elka Wardega and Damian Martin.

Some hair highlights from the red carpet included Olivia Wilde’s beautiful braided bun; Daisy Ridley’s multi-bun look reminiscent of her role as ‘Star Wars’ beloved Rey; and Brie Larson’s ornately adorned half-updo.

Lady Gaga’s platinum, old Hollywood-esque curls were accentuated by a creamy white dress that gave her an angel-like air, and we were loving how Jennifer Lawrence’s chic and simple blond bob –also platinum, there may be a trend emerging here– paired so well with a lacy black dress and bombshell makeup.

Onstage, Sofia Vergara dazzled as usual while presenting an award with a swept back, twisted, and curled ponytail. Meanwhile, Alicia Vikander sparkled in a yellow dress and a sleek, slicked-back look while accepting her award for Best Supporting Actress in ‘The Danish Girl’.

This year’s Oscars brought a variety of looks – which ones will prove to be trendsetting in 2016? Keep up with ESTETICA as we find out as the year progresses…
