Modern, relevant and always low-maintenance best described Vidal Sassoon's motto. "My idea was to cut shape into the hair, to use it like fabric and take away everything that was superfluous,'' Sassoon said.

Tastes change and a craving for color changes with our moods or the weather. Beguiling blue, perky pink,  red and ready, or ostensibly orange. Fanciful black&white illustrations makes hair color pop, evoking fairy tale spells, portraits of yesteryear, or oriental sketches.

A soft, flowing gown evokes a Grecian goddess. A sparkling tiara recalls the flowers of nature to richly adorn this deceiving updo that makes hair seem longer than it is.
