Hair & Beauty Charity Sends a Big Thank You to Our Fantastic Industry!

2024 has been a challenging year for many and a busy year for the Hair & Beauty Charity. Thanks to the generosity of hair and beauty professionals across the UK, it has been able to continue helping those who need it most.

2024 saw industry professionals come together for various events throughout the year, from the annual Golf Day and Bike Ride to the Summer Party with drinks on the Thames watching the sunset. The group of plucky bikers on the Hair & Beauty Charity Bike Ride took on 100km through the hills of Cyprus in 30-degree heat while raising money, with the annual Golf Day and Spa seeing golfers battling it out on the golf course. Partygoers danced the night away and toasted the sunset in central London with a great team night out at the Summer Party.

“2024 has been hard for a lot of our individuals and families in the hair and beauty industry,” says Hair & Beauty Charity President Jayne Lewis-Orr. “Many are struggling due to unforeseen illness, accident, mental health concerns issues or domestic violence. This has meant some have had to flee their home with their children for their safety. The Hair & Beauty Charity has seen some harrowing cases this year, but thanks to the generosity of manufacturers, wholesalers, salons and hair and beauty professionals those working in our incredible industry, we have been able to help many of those who have reached out.

“2025 is going to be another tough year, but we need donations to carry on the work that we do. Whether it’s supporting am annual event, regular fundraising, donating stock or a one-off donation, every penny counts, and I want to pass on my heartfelt thanks to everyone who has supported us this year,” concludes Jayne.
