A team of volunteers from Denman Head Office in Bangor, Northern Ireland recently spent one sunny afternoon litter picking at Crawfordsburn Beach. This was in support of the Marine Conservation Society’s Great British Beach Clean event for cleaner beaches across the UK.
This annual event encourages groups and communities to do their bit to maintain cleaner beaches across the UK. As well as improving the aesthetic impact of our beaches, the Marine Conservation Society’s Great British Beach Clean has the important objective of preventing rubbish entering our seas.
The team from Denman HQ came together to do their bit in their free time. Armed with bags, pickers and gloves the Denman employees spent hours gathering waste before rewarding themselves with a well-earned cup of tea (and a cake or two!). Denman has a dedicated cross departmental CSR team that is constantly working to find ways in which the company can support environmental and charitable causes and make a positive impact.
