The Fabulous End of… Fable Collection by Nook

Taking its inspiration from late 70s rock and new wave, with nods to 80s disco pop, the fabulous end of… Fable is a manifesto of creativity. It’s an invitation to break the mold and explore new forms of personal expression.

This is the final part of the annual Nook collection for the AW24-25 season. It’s a vibrant rock fable that celebrates decades of transformation and rebellion. It is the fabulous end of… Fable – a collection of six 70s/80s-inspired looks that are also a declaration for the future: to encourage women to express themselves without fear, embracing art and beauty as forms of absolute freedom and independence.

Clean and geometric lines and colours that range from warmer and more natural shades such as chocolate brown to more eccentric and brilliant ones, such as cherry red.

Rebel Dreamer

Among the most iconic hairstyles in the Fable collection is the mullet inspired by the 80s, a short and layered cut that creates a strong contrast between the upper and lower part of the hair. The chromatic contrast created by the inlay between the red and the platinum blonde is also beautiful. An androgynous-inspired haircut, sported by icons of music and entertainment such as David Bowie, Patti Smith and Tina Turner, expresses an unconventional personality, a little rebellious and a little dreamy.

The Fabulous End

Wet Angel

And here is a wet-look mullet that embodies the essence of the punk era. The wet effect is the key element of the look and helps create an ethereal and contemporary style, ideal for those who seek to express their individuality and freedom with a touch of boldness and grit.

The Fabulous End

Medusa Fever

groove-rock reinterpretation of the iconic 70s and 80s pageboy look. A look that features longer, asymmetrical haircuts, graduated on the sides and top, and a straight fringe – the real star of this look! – that hides the eyes, giving them an aura of charm, sophistication and mystery.

The colour palette, dominated by a vibrant cherry red, is made three-dimensional by bright reflections and pink shades. These alternate in light and shadow, enhancing the clean and austere geometries of the cut line. To complete the look, an eccentric 80s color-block outfit, purple and turquoise, that evokes the image of a hypnotic and seductive jellyfish-woman queen of the metropolitan nights.

The Fabulous End

Fable is… Freewave

This celebrates the essence of the pop era and its desire for freedom, escape and rebellion. The protagonist is the micro-frizz with alternating zones, which gives a frizz-like effect ideal for giving volume and dynamism to the cut, and which at the same time enhances the intensity of the colour and the vibrant reflections that simulate flames in the wind.

The Fabulous End

Flashglam

Inspired by the iconic Flashdance look, flashglam is a perfect mix of vintage elegance, pop energy and contemporary creativity. A modern interpretation of a timeless style. A medium-length cut characterised by soft voluminous curls made bolder by accents of blue on a deep chocolate brown; the voluptuous messy fringe adds an air of refined nonchalance creating a fascinating contrast, elegantly wild and gritty.

The Fabulous End

Urban Tribal

A hymn to freedom and nonconformity, a street style that captures the frenetic energy and cultural diversity of modern metropolises. The symmetrical ethnic-urban twists in wet version confer an aura of mystery and sensuality, highlighting the rebellious and enterprising nature of the wearer. To add a touch of rock eccentricity, the warm chocolate brown has been enriched with blue accents.
