Earlier this week, the world-famous Sadler’s Wells in Central London provided a stunning backdrop for the UK launch of the creatively-stimulating hair care brand, R+Co.
After being formally opened by distributor for Creative Culture Brands Managing Director, Alastair J Gourley, the evening commenced with an inspirational multi-chapter presentation projected onto the theatre’s impressive studio screen, capturing the audience’s imagination and showing how significant a brand can be, and what it can do for the industry.
Available to professional salons for the first time, R+Co’s co-founder and creative director Howard McLaren held court as he created ‘characters’ for the evening’s five models, crafting cuts utilising his renown razor cutting technique with complete articulation while narrating the evening with his inimitable humour. While presenting on-stage, Howard McLaren commented: “I am very exited to bring R+Co to the UK. Even though we are based in the United States, we are a global-thinking brand that works on the international level. Great hairdressing is about sharing ideas.”
Enlisting the help of a small team from the R+Co UK network, Jason Hall of Jason Hall Hairdressing, Julie Church at Gatsby & Miller and Dan Humphriss from Nicola Smyth Award Winning Hair, the team were all invited on stage to discuss the looks.
R+Co is available in the United Kingdom through Creative Culture Brands UK
