Martin Dale: Wella’s new Head of North America Education

Wella announced that Martin Dale, a Salon Professional Educator, will lead the Field, Brand & Studio Education Force.

Wella Company U.S. General Manager Nathalie De Gouveia has named veteran industry educator Martin Dale as North America Education Leader.

Dale will oversee all aspects of Wella North America’s education, including curriculum, field in-person and hybrid education, social media and events. He will also be developing a forward-looking strategy that will evolve education to anticipate future professional needs.

Martin has a long history of transforming education organizations into agile, modern, and effective power functions,” said De Gouveia. “He is the ideal leader to move Wella Education to the next level.”

More about Martin Dale

The British-born Dale spent more than 25 years leading education teams for L’Oréal’s Matrix brand, starting regionally in the UK and moving into the Vice President of Education role in the USA. During his tenure, he oversaw the transition of education delivery from live to hybrid. He built a powerful influencer community while at the same time instituting new events strategies, utilized globally.

A lifelong beauty professional (“My passport proudly still has ‘hairdresser’ as my profession”), Dale is a dedicated talent leader. He focuses on nurturing other educators and inspires excellence in artistry and discipline in service.

Education is a constant evolution to serve an inspirational community of beauty professionals and one of the most powerful core elements we can use to evolve and elevate our forward-thinking industry,” said Dale.

I’m excited to join the legendary team of Wella educators to place the best craft, skill, and insight at the fingertips of North American beauty professionals.

Dale will be living in Los Angeles.
