The beauty world experienced a true revolution with the creation of the Americas Live Fashion Hair Awards, an unprecedented event that combined spectacle with competition, backed by a solid educational foundation.
This year, Americas Live Fashion Hair Awards joined the Rise of Hair event, which has been held for 5 years in the United States. Along with their main partner Booksy, they launched the Booksy X Live Awards for the United States.
Each year, global anticipation grows to see who the finalists would be in the corresponding edition, which motivated the organization to create a special edition for the Americas. This new edition created for the Americas arises from the collaboration of four beauty industry experts: the Spaniards Jorge Cancer, Vishal Baharani, Orlando Martín, and the American Byrd Mena. Under the Live Fashion Hair label.
The concept behind the Americas Live Fashion Hair Awards is unique and quickly became the ideal stage to change the traditional perception of what a hairdressing competition entails. Why is it different? Simply put, it is more than an event. In the words of one of its ambassadors, the renowned French stylist Eric Maurice, “this is more than a competition, it is a family.”
A big family that, under the “Live Community” banner, has been growing in each edition with contributions from professionals from all around the world. Additionally, those professionals who reach the final stage are brought to St. Petersburg to be part of a creative and educational process alongside their colleagues. Creating collections under the Live Production label, which offers a completely innovative and modern vision of beauty and fashion.
Key figures in the hairdressing world such as X-Presion, Tim Hartley, Candice McKay, Rafael Bueno, Kobi Bokshish, Viktoriia Vradii, Mark Van Westerop, Richard Ashforth, or Kumenhair, are some who have already left their creative mark at the Americas Live Fashion Hair Awards. The 2024 edition took place on August 3rd and 4th in Florida.
This edition set participation records, with 3,000 registrations coming from all over the Americas. The finalist collections in all categories stand out for their innovation and mastery, showcasing cutting-edge hairstyles and exceptional creativity in the use of textures and color. These creations capture the essence of 21st-century hairstyling: personalization, technology, sustainability, education, trends, and diversity.
The 2024 edition brought together the 130 finalists in Florida, who, along with ambassadors and other industry artists, experienced the live event at the Gala Awards, and at the Rise of Hair event, with ambassador shows and more than 30 masterclasses featuring a varied educational agenda. Additionally, the organization had Booksy, a partner for the third consecutive year, playing a fundamental role in the Americas Live Fashion Hair Awards.
