Lyndal Salmon (BIBA) was named the Australian Hairdresser of the Year at the highly anticipated and sold-out 2023 Australian Hair Fashion Awards.
The Australian Hair Fashion Awards gala event, held at The Star in Sydney, served as the pinnacle of a remarkable year in the Aussie hairdressing industry. Renowned figures from the industry, both local and international, gathered to honor outstanding achievements in business, creativity, and product innovation. The Star’s Ballroom buzzed with excitement as exceptional work was recognized and accolades were presented.
Dyson, as the Presenting Partner for the fifth consecutive year, and welcoming Revlon Professional, the Official Colour Partner, supported this year’s AHFA competition while new awards, including Global Hairdresser of the Year and New Zealand Hairdresser of the Year, added an international dimension to the occasion. Esteemed international guests included Errol Douglas MBE, Jordan Robertson, James Earnshaw, Richy Kandasamy, Sergi Bancells, Mikel Luzea, Renee Valerie, Richard Mannah, and Karine Jackson.
The highly anticipated Dyson Runway Show, a mesmerizing display centered around a Utopian theme, showcased the work of Dyson Styling Ambassadors Renya Xydis, Michael Beel, and Damien Rinaldo –with Monica Morales with her exceptional styling–, pushing boundaries and exploring the realms of hair artistry through interpretations of Deities and the Underworld.
DJ Tigerlily energized the crowd, and Club Sol performers ensured that guests danced the night away. True to the spirit of the hairdressing industry, the festivities continued into the early hours with an unforgettable afterparty, keeping the celebration alive.
