Twisted Chignon
Minimal styling that evokes elegance, this is the perfect desk to dance floor hair look for clients for the festive season.
Firstly, prep the hair with a texture spray Spritz the hair with a styler such as ALTERNA Caviar Anti-Aging Professional Styling Perfect Iron Spray. Then lightly tousle with a heated styling iron/curling tong to give it added texture, volume and movement. Bring the hair to the back of the head into a loose ponytail and start to create your twist. Pin sections of the hair to create a beautiful shape and leave some pieces of hair hanging to show off loose curls you previously created and to give the style a softer finish. Once you have created your desired twist shape, pull at some of the hair to give the style a more natural, relaxed appearance, paying particular attention to the top of the hairstyle to give it added volume and height in this section. Finish by adding in some gold/bejeweled clips for added glamour.
Soft Romantic Up-Do
Soft, romantic, braided up-dos aren’t just for brides – they’re perfect for the festive party season too! These hairstyles are so chic and the client can add in a bejewelled clip or hairband to further add an extra festive sparkle to their look. I begin by creating three little ponytails at the back, securing each at the top with a hair elastic. I then flip each ponytail through the top to create a more dimensional style. Leaving two sections of hair out at the sides, I take the remainder of the hair at the back and create a ponytail before twisting this into a bun. Using the side sections I wrap this around the bun to secure it in place. I always like to leave out some of the ends of the hair to give it a more natural, effortless look.
I then mist through ALTERNA Caviar Anti-Aging Professional Styling Perfect Texture Spray and lightly spray this through areas of the hair to give added texture and the hairstyle a further relaxed finish.
’90s-Inspired Fluffy Blowout
