The Subversive Collection by Janene Hawkins-Bush seeks to subvert our perceptions of idealised beauty. The inspiration for this shoot followed the departing of the fabulous Vivienne Westwood.
In the Subversive Collection, we wanted to cover how a blended mix of all ages are now bold within our society,” explains Janene Hawkins-Bush. “We are also conveying how Vivienne Westwood’s fashion and activism have made an impact on all generations. All materials used were sourced from eco sustainable sources or reused fabrics. The metal swarf used was from our local nuclear power station. We wanted to pay homage to her years of work and how it has passed onwards.”
