Being creative isn’t always possible when working with model’s hair, so the F.A.M.E. Team spent the day with award-winning hairdresser Sam Burnett to learn the skills of wig making.
Held at the Goldwell Academy in central London, Sam Burnett from Hare & Bone demonstrated the techniques and tips for wig making and working with hair pieces.
F.A.M.E. team member Darrel Starkey said: “The day with Sam was inspirational, educational and motivational. As a self-taught wig maker, I was excited to learn if I was doing anything wrong. Sam taught me so many tips, tricks and techniques that have helped boost my wig making confidence and already I’m smashing out looks ready for the Fellowship Hair & Vision event in Brighton.”
Jessica Hau commented: “It was a great day. Sam was such a sweet character, approachable and I enjoyed hearing his experiences, stories and his background. I learnt a lot watching his attention to detail, how he would start and finish making a wig.”
Alex Cook added: “Sam is just incredible! I have always wanted to learn how to make a wig, so I was so excited. He also showed us how he made some of his mega looks which was so interesting. His journey is so inspiring from where he began to where he is now! What a legend!”
