HOB Uncut is making a triumphant return for the first time since 2019. The one-day event, taking place in London on 10 October, will mark a major milestone in live hairdressing education, following the disruption caused by the pandemic.
The HOB Uncut event, which attracts attendees from across the world, will feature live cutting demonstrations by International Creative Director, Akin Konizi and the Creative Team including Head of Education Jake Unger and Senior Educator Nestor Sanchez, who are at the forefront of world hairdressing.
At the heart of every presentation will be the art of technical haircutting. It’s something for which has HOB has global respect. It has also won Akin and the team numerous awards over the years.
Says Akin: “For me, being a great technical cutter is vital for any hairdresser. Great cutting skills are, or should be, the foundation of every hairstyle, That’s also true for every look in-salon or for a photographic collection. It’s so important that, as an industry, we keep the skill of technical cutting alive and help elevate hairdressing to the heights it deserves.”
HOB Uncut ran for four years from 2016 and proved a ground-breaking and welcome addition to the world of hairdressing education. Its return in 2022 represents an ongoing commitment from HOB to raising standards within the industry by sharing skills with a wider community.
“Hairdressing will only achieve the respect it deserves and thrive as an industry if hairdressers receive ongoing education from those with exceptional skills and a dedication to the technical side of hairdressing,” says Akin. “At HOB, we are wholly committed to sharing the skills we, as a team, have learned over many years. We are so excited to be back educating face-to-face, and HOB Uncut will be an exciting, informative and inspirational day.”
