Estetica experiences first-hand the inspiring Budapest Hair Show, an international event where hairdressing glows in high style.
The third annual Budapest Hair Show took place last Saturday, September 17, in one of the most emblematic places of the Hungarian capital, the fabulous Várkert Bazár on the banks of the Danube River. Organized by Beauty World Net, this spectacular event brings together under one roof the highest level of hair education, inspiration from leading international stylists and a unique space where to enjoy and share unforgettable moments with colleagues. A day designed to serve the development of hairdressers regardless of brands and increase the prestige of the hairdressing industry – in a short time, Budapest Hair Show has become an essential event for professionals in Central Europe.
With the participation of well-known hair artists such as Ákos Bódi, Josh Lamonaca, Massimo Morello, Leen & Bertus (Schorem Barbier) or László Hajas, among many others, Budapest Hair Show divided the day into four segments –seminars, Look&Learn sessions, hairdressing show and cocktail party– in which inspiration, creativity and education excelled at their best. During the morning, the seminar program took place, in which prestigious educators showed their technique, such as Josh Lamonaca for Moser; the Schwarzkopf Professional team with Richárd Bódis, Dávid Blanke, Viktor Madarász, Böbi Rácz and Sándor Veress-Győri; the L’Oréal Professionnel team with Herbert Czinki and Gergő Dalotti; and the renowned stylist Ákos Bódi, who starred in an awesome cutting seminar.
In the early afternoon, the Look&Learn sessions began, starring personalities as influential in our industry as the iconic barbers Leen & Bertus for Reuzel; well-known Hungarian stylists Erika Dancsó and Gergő Dalotti for L’Oréal Professionnel; session master stylist Massimo Morello for Kevin.Murphy; Josh Lamonaca again demonstrating his skills for Moser; and local idol Ákos Bódi for BWNET x Schwarzkopf Professional. Finally, the event concluded with a fabulous hairdressing catwalk show of the highest level, in which the looks created by Massimo Morello, Josh Lamonaca and the ambassador teams of L’Oréal Professionnel and Schwarzkopf Professional stood out on the catwalk.
Last but not least, young Hungarian hairdresser Réka Dan also showed her art and creativity on stage. In addition to starring in a spectacular show, Réka received the “Talent of the Year” award from Beauty World Net. This amazing recognition was given to her on stage by Sergi Bancells, who traveled to Budapest to support the event on behalf of Estetica Magazine.
Budapest Hair Show had the perfect master of ceremonies in Győri Szabolcs, CEO of Beauty World Net, who directed the show with precision and creativity, expressing his satisfaction that this event brought “the opportunity to put this wonderful city and Hungary in the center of professional hairdressing in Europe. We are very proud that BHS is now an internationally recognized modern hairdressing event!“
