Make fine hair shiny and voluminous
It can be difficult to boost both shine and volume without weighing the hair down but it is possible. After you have washed your client’s hair at the backwash, apply Caviar Replenishing Moisture Priming Leave-In Conditioner, which detangles while adding heat protection to help prime finer hair types for the moisture and volume. Score stunning shiny waves

Create easy, shiny summer looks
During the season that’s synonymous with air-drying and frizziness, it can be hard for client’s to nail a sleek look at home and therefore they may want to visit the salon for hair styling and to have a style created for them that will survive the heat – such as braids or a topknot. These are great styles for the summer season, whereby clients may be going to a music festival or the beach, that can help show off hair shine, as well as expressing the client’s personal style. Here are my top tips for achieving the looks…
Sleek braids: the great thing about braids is there are so many varieties (from classic, French, fishtail, Dutch, waterfall, lace and twist) allowing clients to experiment with a different style of braid every day during the summer season should they wish, or even incorporate them into their updos. When helping braids achieve a silky smooth finish, I always prep the hair with Alterna’s Caviar Anti-Aging Replenishing Moisture CC Cream before braiding, which boosts shine, moisture, and manageability.
Top knot: Similarly to braids, there are nearly limitless variations on the easy, breezy top knot. When creating this look, I always prep the hair with a small amount of Caviar Anti-Aging Replenishing Moisture CC Cream before styling the hair into one topknot or two space buns depending on how playful the client is feeling. I gather the hair into the desired location (high or low) before twisting the hair into a bun and securing with hair pins to lock in the shape.
