Kao Salon Division UK is happy to announce this year’s UK & Ireland Finalists. They are now preparing to take to the stage for the prestigious Global Creative Awards UK & Ireland Final & Summer Party! This will take place on Sunday 31st July 2022 at Merchant Taylor’s Hall, London.
The Kao Salon Division Global Creative Awards are a celebration of extraordinarily creative ideas; the ability to bring them to life; and doing it so well that it inspires others. This is why Kao invites the industry’s most ambitious, inspiring as well as creative salons and stylists to participate and share their work. On Sunday 31st July 2022 the Kao Salon stage will be ready in London, for them to shine.
Expect a stunning runway show, canapés, cocktails and of course the best party in town. Then there will be the announcement of year’s National Technical category finalists. These will go on to represent the UK & Ireland at the Kao Salon Global Experience in Amsterdam in October.
TECHNICAL AWARD UK & IRELAND FINALISTS 2022
New Talent Colorist of the Year: To show the world that age is not a prerequisite for creative excellence and to show their talent and technical ability. This category is designed for stylists with less than five years’ experience.
Creative Colorist of the Year: The ultimate colour competition. In this category stylists create their vision with a stunning photograph and then recreate it in the international live competition. This category is open to all stylists with the passion and drive to compete in world of colour.
Creative Haircutter of the Year: This new category is open to all passionate haircutters to show the world that their work is a cut above with this precision cutting competition. In this category stylists create their vision with a stunning photograph and then recreate it in the international live competition.
EDITORIAL AWARDS 2022
Four exciting new categories of photo-only global competition that celebrate the ultimate in editorial creativity. Finalists of the editorial categories will be announced in August.
Men‘s Hairstylist of the Year: Stylists show their mastery and also expertise in men’s styling, barbering and grooming. They do this by creating a collection of cutting-edge men’s looks.
Salon Team of the Year: This category is the perfect opportunity to show the creativity of the entire salon team and to create a collection that represents a shared vision and show the power of the entire team.
Avant Garde Stylist of the Year: To win this award stylists need to push the boundaries of conventional hairstyling as well as daring to inspire with their collection of visionary work.
Editorial Colorist of the Year: In this category stylists have to express their vision in color and to create an editorial color collection that showcases color creativity, precision, and vision.
The participants of the editorial categories must compete globally in this Photo-Only International Competition. The Gold Winners of each of the technical categories deserve the recognition and reward for all their creative efforts
