Westrow Steps Out To Support Children’s Charity

A team of hairdressers from Westrow salons centred on Yorkshire is swapping brushes for boots! They will embark on a 100-kilometre charity challenge to raise funds for a local children’s charity.

Over three days, staff from award-winning Westrow Hairdressing Group will cross West and North Yorkshire. They will clock up visits to all nine Westrow salons in support of the Principle Trust Children’s Charity.

Staff from Westrow prepare for The Great Westrow Walk!

Dubbed ‘The Great Westrow Walk’, the hair-raising event forms part of Westrow’s 35-year anniversary celebrations and aims to raise £5000 for the Trust which provides free respite holidays to children who are underprivileged, disadvantaged, disabled, have life-limiting conditions, or have also experienced poverty, trauma or abuse.

The team’s ages range from 18 to 59 years. They depart from the Skipton salon on Friday 24 June, calling at Ilkley, Bingley, Leeds, Westpark, Roundhay and Wetherby. Then they will arrive at the finish line in Harrogate on Sunday 26 June.

“We are excited to be embarking on The Great Westrow Walk in support of The Principle Trust,” said Westrow director and co-founder Marc Westerman. Every penny we raise will help to fund much-needed respite holidays for families across Yorkshire”

“Over the last decade the Trust has helped thousands of disadvantaged, disabled and poorly children,” said Founder of The Principle Trust, Mike Davies MBE. “The aim is to help them escape their everyday troubles and also create valuable, happy memories. We rely entirely on donations and are indebted to Marc and the team at Westow for their incredible support.
