The Fellowship for British Hairdressing’s Members Night headed to Manchester for an evening of inspiration, education and networking.
Held at the Alan Howard Academy in Stockport, five teams presented their latest ideas and also techniques to an appreciative audience. Georgia Bell from Society, Danny Robinson from Danny & Co Barbers, Katie Walsh from 110, Stacey Wright from McKoy Hair Company as well as Naomi Brooks from The Hair Sanctuary.
Host for the evening was our Chancellor Ashleigh Hodges. She interviewed the hairdressers about their careers and their model’s styles, dissecting the looks and discussing the latest techniques. Ashleigh also interviewed Chair Barry Stephens and Vice Chair Andreas Stavrou about the work of the Fellowship. They spoke about its heritage and the future of the industry.
Members Nights give Fellowship members an opportunity to present on stage – whether it’s a debut appearance or someone wanting to showcase their latest collection. It’s a great platform for members who are looking for feedback and experience, as well as to network with like-minded people from across their local region.
After a hiatus due to Covid, Members Nights are back with a bang for 2022, visiting various cities across the UK. The next Members Night is 9 May in Cardiff, followed by Brighton on 13 June and London on 12 September. To take part visit the website (see below) to register your interest.
