Very Peri: The Pantone Colour of the Year 2022

“Very Peri said to ‘encourage personal inventiveness and creativity’. With with that in mind, this stunning hue is the perfect choice for clients to incorporate into their hair look; especially if they’re looking to be more creative with their hair colour in the New Year. For blondes in particular, this is a shade that they can wear all over their hair. Alternatively they can wear it in flashes to give their hair a fun update. The beauty of this colour is that it’s light in tone and therefore blends out beautifully.

“It also looks slightly metallic, giving the hair a gorgeous shine. I always think pastel shades look particularly great on those with lighter skin tones; working in harmony with their skin tone for a super flattering look. However, as this shade does have violet-red blue undertones it does work well on most complexions. It’s a softer colour and not too ‘out there’. I think this will be a shade that we will see a lot of clients embracing in 2022.  For those with darker hair, they may want to experiment with this shade through flashes in their hair. Alternatively they could consider one of the latest hair trends, face framing highlights.

“Towards the end of 2021 we noticed a lot of clients changing their face framing highlights from blonde to pastel and bold hair hues and this is a great shade for clients to experiment this trend with to add a pop of colour to their hair look, help frame their face and draw in attention to their eyes.”
