The ECRU New York creative team returned to NYFW. T. Cooper lead Artist for ECRU New York designed simple and inclusive looks for the TASOU (The Athletic Side of Us) SS22 runway.
Following a too-long pandemic hiatus, the ECRU New York team returned to the backstage of NYFW in style! Indeed, T. Cooper, lead Artist for ECRU New York, and Nigerian-born, Bronx designer, Chuks Collins, designed hair fashion for the TASOU (The Athletic Side of Us) SS22 runway.
Victoria Maung, Contributing Writer for the Washington Square News, observed: “TASOU is the rising star of avant-garde athleisure… Chuks Collins proves athleisure isn’t just a trend — it’s a staple.” Indeed, this SS22 collection is cross-cultural, gender-neutral, inclusive, a tribute to fusion and sustainability.
A new and interesting concept. And T. Cooper, lead artist for ECRU New York, was up to the challenge. “The collection represents inclusive athleticism done your way. I wanted something that was off the face and not overly styled. We created a style with two cornrows cascading into a ponytail. ECRU New York Rejuvenating Moisture Mist helped define the natural texture of the model.” The goal was to convey effortlessness with a cool factor.
Effortless and cool! ECRU New York. Clean. Fresh. Modern. Classic. Mission Accomplished!
