With 2021 being the light at the very end of the Covid tunnel, the team at F&M Hairdressing are celebrating another fantastic achievement – 20 years in business.
Founded in 2001 by business partners Brian MacMillan and Kevin Paul Finnell, F&M Hairdressing has become a destination salon for all things hair and barbering, becoming a community hub over the last few years and a popular salon with the residents of Barrhead and the surrounding area.
With a video to establish a new salon ethos, Kevin and Brian set out to create a unique salon experience for clients; with a view to breaking the stereotype. They wanted to create an approachable, relaxed and boutique space which was open to everyone. This allows the clients to feel at ease and receive the service and style of their choice without prejudice.
This celebration is a testament to the hard work and commitment of Brian, Kevin and the team. It confirms that their original salon vision is now a reality.
Since opening 20 years ago the F&M team moved from to their current premises in Cross Arthurlie Street in Barrhead. This was due to the increased demand in services. The current salon space, originally and old bank, caters for all the teams needs, with two salon floors, staff spaces, management offices, colour bar and barbering sections.
The salon has built up a fantastic reputation in the local area and within the hairdressing industry as a whole. It has won numerous awards and finalists in national awards too.
Salon Director, Brian MacMillan said: “Celebrating 20 years of F&M Hairdressing has been incredible. We can’t believe just how far we have come since opening the doors back in 2001. To see our vision come to life and to continue after all these years is amazing. We couldn’t have done it without the fantastic support of our team and of course our clients and neighbouring businesses. The last year has been incredibly difficult for us. Just like many businesses across the UK, however our hard work over the years has carried us through. Here’s to the next 20 years.”
