The 2021 International Hairdressing Awards have been presented in a virtual awards ceremony broadcasted live from Pamplona’s cathedral, in Spain, a space of incomparable beauty that has given a new dimension to an awards ceremony that has not been carried out as expected due to all the conditions of the pandemic. The awards ceremony was presented live by Mikel Luzea, founder and director of the International Hairdressing Awards, and Sergi Bancells, IHA global ambassador.

In a very difficult year, marked by the global health crisis, the International Hairdressing Awards have managed to remain a global event, which has brought together more than 600 photographic collections, a very high participation that confirms it as a reference event in all the world. Hairdressers from 44 countries have entered to participate with their photographic work in the categories of Best International Women’s Collection, Best International Men’s Collection and Best International Avant-Garde Collection. In addition, the hairdressers and artistic teams that had been shortlisted to participate in the categories of International Hairdresser of the Year and International Artistic Team of the Year were invited to submit their applications, consisting of a photographic collection and a dossier summarising their professional career in the last year.
The organisers will announce very soon the calendar for the 2022 International Hairdressing Awards.
