Eufora helps raise awareness and support for the prevention of child abuse with in-salon events and social media challenges.
Every year more than 3 million reports of child abuse are made in the United States – just one of the reasons that the prevention of child abuse is a cause near and dear to the heart of Eufora Co-founder, Beth Bewley. For more than 15 years, the Bewley family has helped support the fight against child abuse through Eufora fundraising programs, and this April, during Child Abuse Awareness Month, Eufora is once again partnering with Childhelp (a national organization dedicated to meeting the physical, emotional, educational, and spiritual needs of abused and at-risk children) to raise awareness and lead a much needed fundraising outreach. The April 2021 fundraising campaign will maximize reach with a two-pronged approach that provides for in-salon fundraising events as well as a digital fundraising challenge.
Understanding that the Childhelp organization works to build confidence, by helping children face and overcome vulnerabilities, is what brought the theme for a Eufora digital challenge to life. In a show of solidarity, Eufora is encouraging their followers to
share their most vulnerable moments – whatever makes them feel their proudest, boldest and most confident. Maybe it’s baking that perfect loaf of bread, reaching the peak of a hike, finishing a marathon or just hanging out with kids for family time.
Whatever it may be, Eufora wants to see these moments. In return, Eufora will donate $5.00 to Childhelp for every qualifying post during the month of April. Keeping maximum fundraising in mind, there are three simple requirements for a “qualifying post”.
Social Post Requirements for Childhelp Donation:
1. Post a photo of your most #BoldProudConfident moment to Instagram
2. Tag @euforainternational, @childhelp & use the hashtags #BoldProudConfident #eufora4childhelp
3. Tag three friends and challenge them to post their most confident photo
“Our main goal, of course, is to raise awareness and money for Childhelp. In addition, our hope is that a person is vulnerable with their post – not only sharing the image but also explaining why this moment makes them feel their proudest and most confident. Through this sharing, we hope to build a stronger community and conversation.”, says Campaign Lead, Victoria Felix.
When it comes to in-salon events, the Eufora Salon Network is a well-honed fundraising machine, and this year Eufora is pleased to be able to bring back Blowouts for a Cause. These in-salon events are a big part of what has led to the success of past fundraising initiatives. Very simply, the salon picks a date to host their Blowouts for a Cause event, the stylists donate their time, and the guests donate the usual cost of the blowout (or whatever they can spare) to Childhelp. When it comes to marketing the event, Eufora provides all the tools needed to advertise, including invites, email blast templates, social media templates, in-salon signage, etc. All these assets can be found on the professional website, free of charge as part of the Eufora Affiliate program.
