The Little Touches…

Keeping everyone in your business connected, motivated and inspired in lockdown can be a challenge, but Kerry Mather, owner of KJM Salons in Fleet, hasn’t let lockdown 3.0 get in the way of keeping her loyal team at the forefront of her mind.

As salons across England prepare to reopen on 12th April, Kerry has been busy boosting the spirits of her team and helping them get ready for the big return to business by delivering beauty sleep boxes packed full of pampering goodies as well as motivational cards, and personalised sweets.

All 19 members of the salon team received special deliveries from Kerry – and the younger members of the KJM family weren’t forgotten either. Staff’s children also received crafty boxes to keep them occupied, as well as a personalised wooden chair.  “As a salon owner and employer, I believe it’s really crucial to stay connected with my staff on a personal level, so they know just how much I care about them and to reinforce the KJM family ethos,” says Kerry. “Lockdown has been tough for everyone and I really hope these little touches have shown my team that I am always thinking about them and their families.”

Kerry has also been looking after her clients by continuing with her popular ‘drop and go’ bespoke home-care packs, which she launched during the first lockdown in 2020.  Discussing hair care needs and tailoring the package to each client has been invaluable to Kerry as it has allowed her to keep in touch with her clients throughout lockdown.
