‘1941’ is a reminiscence of a dark time in our history, when humanity was consumed by violence.
José Urrutia is inspired by the bombing of Pearl Harbour, on whose 80th anniversary we should be reflecting on the traumas of warfare. Therefore, this collection is an anti-war statement, interpreted in disconcerting looks with a clear reference to the military.
