78th Annual Golden Globes Awards: Get The Red-carpet Hair Looks by Matrix

The 78th annual Golden Globes Awards, which were delayed about two months due to the coronavirus pandemic, took place yesterday night, February 28th, serving as the unofficial kickoff to a very socially distanced 2021 awards season.

Hosted by Tina Fey and Amy Poehler this year first-ever bi-coastal ceremony celebrated (as usual) excellence in television, film and – let’s not forget – the amazing and glamorous looks on the red carpet.

Learn how to get these elegant and classy looks from two of Hollywood’s most beloved actresses, Renée Zellweger by Richard Marin and Shira Haas by Mara Roszak for Matrix. Renée Zellweger presented and Shira Haas was nominated for “Actress in a mini-series” for her performance in Unorthodox.

GET THE LOOK:

1. After washing the hair, prep the hair with Matrix Miracle Creator Multi-Tasking Hair Treatment. This incredible versatile product has 20 benefits to help nourish the hair, boost shine, add moisture, acts as a heat protectant and much more.

2. When the hair has taken in the hair treatment, apply Matrix High Amplify Foam Volumizer all over before blow drying. Dry the hair upside down for maximum volume.

3. To finish with a loose sexy, undone but chic look, spray Matrix Total Results Miss Mess Dry Finishing Spray all over to prolong volume with a light hold.

GET THE LOOK:

1. Start with damp hair and creating a side part to give a more modern, cool look. Then blow dry hair smooth with a medium natural bristle round brush. After blow drying, used the Matrix High Amplify Dry Shampoo to add a soft texture to the hair, before putting it up.

2. Leaving the front sides out, put the back of the hair into a ponytail and secured tight with an elastic. Then take each side of the hair and wrap it around the elastic and pin it in place with bobby pins.

3. Next, using Matrix Total Results Miss Mess Dry Finishing Spray on the front and side to smooth the hair. Matrix Total Results Miss Mess  finishing spray helps prolong the shape you’re trying to achieve with a light hold.

4. Then gently twist the ponytail into an imperfect bun allowing pieces to fall out, creating texture. Use the Matrix High Amplify Dry Shampoo again to create hold.

5. Lastly, to tame any fly-away around the head, use Matrix StyleLink Shape Switcher Molding Paste which is a spreadable molding paste which combines a strong hold, with a satin finish.
