Estetica asked Amy about about what kind of itinerary she is aspiring to on her exciting journey as a Wella Professional Brand Ambassador.
As a Wella Professionals Ambassador, what ideas might you have about facilitating color education, especially during sporadic lockdowns and under difficult conditions?
I love to create quick “how to” or “tips and tricks” videos for my followers to learn something new or different and to try and keep them inspired.
I also love to do Q&As on Lives to answer questions or offer solutions to formulation issues my followers may be running into.
Where do you see Balayage technique going in the future?
I think Balayage will stay on trend for the foreseeable future. There’s so much creativity with placement and technique to keep it low-maintenance but create high impact for clients who are unable to come in often or who are really on a tight budget.
Balayage is used mostly on longer lengths… what innovations do you expect might be developed for coloring techniques on shorter lengths?
Using block coloring or wide panels and utilizing 2-3 different levels both darker and lighter in similar tones on shorter hair can create a really fun, soft multi-dimensional, low-maintenance color, similar to balayage. The fun thing with color is that the possibilities are endless and are only limited by your imagination!
