‘Epochal’ was inspired by a desire to interpret traditional shapes and transform them into hair art, creating an influential moment in hair.
“I worked with an amazing team on this collection, so the photography (Andrew O’Toole), the make-up (Kylie O’Toole), the styling (Karly Brown) and the hair, all worked together to bring my creative brief & vision to life,” says Amy. “Creating layer upon layer of texture, dimension and form, ‘Epochal’ manipulates structures to demonstrate the hair’s ability to manifest itself into new embodiments.”
With ‘Epochal’, Amy Gaudie, owner and creative Director of award-winning Urban Chic Salon, has been crowned the 2020 Australian Hair Fashion Awards (AHFAs) QLD Hairdresser of the Year.
