The COVID-19 pandemic has paralyzed the world, especially our industry. Hoping everyone will come back to normal life as soon as possible, the OMC World President Salvatore Fodera has announced that for the first time in history the OMC Hairworld 2020 competition will eliminate its registration fees.
“In the last few days, I’ve received phone calls from competitors and organizations, presidents, etc. asking if OMC Hairworld 2020 will take place in September in Paris. My answer as of today is YES. Then, if the French government finally decides not to allow the event to take place, we will find an alternative, most probably to organize an online competition,” says Fodera.
“However, my concern is about the national competitors and how can OMC help all those passionate hairdressers from all around the world willing to compete in the next OMC World Championship in September. So I have proposed a bold initiative to the OMC Board of Directors, which they have approved unanimously. This proposal shows all OMC member countries organizations as well as the national competitors, that OMC has a big and generous heart and cares for all its members in times like this,” says the OMC World President.
To all those passionate competitors who will participate in the upcoming OMC World Championship in September 13-14, 2020 in Paris, OMC will offer: FREE REGISTRATION FEES!!!
And for the Jury seminar being planned for those official national jurors to be selected by their country’s organizations during the 2020 OMC World Championship, their juror’s participation is also free!
“This is an unprecedent and historic initiative for all of us to remember!” says Fodera. “We are looking forward to welcoming every delegation in Paris where we hope to celebrate with a glass of champagne an end to this invisible evil pandemic.“
